Man, you've been hanging around Treeroot too much... I need to move closer to Mr. Davidson so this can rub off on me too! :thumb:

I was surfing the web and found this and the seats made me think of your cruiser.

then I broke into the oem wipers I have been holding onto.

also you can see the new oem still available rear view mirror (also part number above) in these pics...

welp,
like many days, I drove the 76 to get some "supplies"..
then wound up lackin motivation..
did get the door limiters rebuilt with some new rubbers and started in on the rear hatch before getting distracted with other things...
meh
the view is good
and even at 71 its not too warm for a fire..

ok
finished up what I wanted over here on this one..
put the rear gate together with new oem outer handle and gasket.
I had disassembled the whole thing like other parts cause we wanted the repaint to be as complete as possible. lubed up all the linkage. that is the cause of the outer handle breaking, so wanted it to be smooth.
tapped all the holes on the hardtop sides and put it together with some stainless...

mounted the gate polished up the struts,
then prepared for it to exit the premises.
kinda attached to it at this point..took some pics for posterity, then took it over to jakes..his kids were excited for it to arrive...

Well done, Mikes, John and Jake. What a process it has been and thanks for all the great pictures along the way. Congrats. Simpson, now you have all the time in the world to lavish on the 45 - and you don't even have to do a thing to it, it's perfect as is.

Does anyone have a single wheel spacer they don't need anymore? We want to space out the spare to clear the 33's so it doesn't need to be straight.

If you haven’t found one, I’ve got a spare wheel spacer I’d part with for some Corona or Whiskey if you’re feeling generous.

with the amount of personal labor in this deal it wont be worth selling...

but with the amount of personal $ in this deal I slash we cant afford not to..

lessons learned, all of them valuable, especially the skills learned putting tnis together...

my personal regret is I will never own one this nice ever again so a shame to let it go...

and I wont make enough on it to make the labor worth it..

but this thing was LEFT FOR DEAD and now it will live on for a long time to come and make a new owner very proud!!!

which in some ways makes it all worth it.

Mike, your Cruiser Karma bank account has a very hefty balance in it after what you've accomplished with this old truck.
