Does anyone have any up to date recommendations on 100 series windshield experts? I called Mike at Diamond and Rusty at Blue Ribbon and left messages a few times but have not received any reply back from either one.
Jimmy, where did you end up having yours done?

I used Precision Auto Glass but I wouldn't recommend them. I asked several times if they use the rivets and they reassured me that they did then after the install he said he fessed up that he just used screws. It's on my list to replace them one of these days.

I guess it's my turn now. The 100 windshield is leaking and the wind noise is getting worse. Any new references or experiences on this procedure?

Well I went to the safelite at Evans and Colorado. Service was great, but the job was only so so. I even talked with them about things to pay attention to ahead of time and that if any trim was damaged to please claim it with the insurance. It was winter, so I picked up at night and didn't have time to inspect until next day. They just ripped off my hood cowl seal and didn't try to replace it. They also left a metal pry tool under the hood a few inches from the battery. I went back and got a little mad. I told them I wanted all new trim pieces from Toyota and that I would just pick up the parts when they had them in. They agreed and now I just have to install the trim pieces...

I would probably prefer one where they came by my house, so I could be the annoying guy harassing the professional along the way.

I'm that guy! I'm also the guy with a wire wheel, primer and matchingish paint to fix any rusting spots where the seal sits.🤷‍♂️

Paul in Centennial is the 100 whisperer. You may have to wait a bit but he is the most detailed person I've met in my life and knows 100s better than a preacher knows the Bible. You can PM him at 2001LC on Mud, he exclusively works on 100s, and is an awesome guy.

When I last spoke with Paul he still hadn't found anyone who could properly install a windshield around Denver.
One reason I haven't installed all my new trim is I am considering just having Paul do it all. I think he is a bit backlogged last time I chatted with him.

He's got this really narrow rivet tool

EDIT November 2020: Cornerstone no longer has a location in Arvada. Still have Conifer.

Did my 100 rear window a few months ago. Referred by Jeff Zepp
They did our GX470 a few weeks ago. Anna went to their shop in Conifer. Seems fine.
They do mobile but for a 100 they had told me they like to have access to all their tools and materials in the shop.

I will also go ahead and vouch for Paul. I had him do some work on my 100 about two weeks ago. He only works on 100s and I would trust him to do most anything that’s out of my echelon. I think I remember him saying that he could not recommend someone in Denver (or surrounding areas) for windshield replacement so he does it himself.
If any of you want to contact him I have his phone number and email. I don’t think he’d mind if I gave it to anyone on here. Just pm me. Thanks.

Howdy. Sorry to resurrect this old thread. Does anyone have a recommendation for an experienced LC100 windshield installer in the Fort Collins/Northern Colorado area? I've owned my '04 since 2012 and have lived with a few chips and cracks for several years now, but it's time for a replacement. It looks like the glass was replaced by the previous owner and fortunately the installer used rivets for reattaching the a-pillar trim pieces so hopefully that is a good sign. Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations.

Update: I spoke with several auto glass installers in Northern Colorado and even took the LC in to one local shop who had some experience replacing windshields on the 100 series, but the owner is hesitant to mess with the rivets anymore for fear of breaking the glass. Eventually I learned that Novus Glass was the shop that last replaced the windshield for the previous owner. After some good discussions with J.D. (a technician) at Novus, I decided to go with them. Took a couple of weeks to get the glass in, but the install went very well and I am pleased. I would recommend Novus - and J.D. in particular - to anyone looking to have their LC100 windshield replaced in Northern Colorado.
