Finally after 7 years of owning her she gets a lift and cv axle reboot last weekend. 2 full days of work. Before and after pic's. Did the stretch mod on axles, I ended up having to run out to Yoda Jim's to get another cv since it had after market axles. All in all in went quite well. I ended up with more lift than I wanted since this my wife Julie's truck, but she loves it. Total numbers with moving up to a 275-70-17 AT tires i ended up with 3 1/2 to 4 inches in the rear and just over 5 in the front. And to my surprise the cv angles aren't to bad. So her maiden voyage will be tomorrow for the Spooky Night run.

Well as you know we bugged out early on the Spooky Night run and as we were heading down the trail we started overheating. The next morning I started looking into it and had lost a lot of coolant, it was just blowing out of the overflow. Checked the radiator cap and it fell apart when I took it off, problem solved and over a gallon of coolant.

Pic of the cap, had to wait a couple of days for it. So put a cheapy O'Reilly cap for . Now I have a spare. Cheap insurance.

I've had the same thing happen to a few caps over the years.

What lift did you install?
The shocks are Bilstien 5100's, the springs are OME. I think they are the heavy's since it is a stiffer ride. I will have to get back under and check the labels on the springs. The ride feels very similar to my 3rd gen runner with OME shocks and heavy springs.
Looks terrific!
Thank you My Wife loves it.

Excited to see how this goes. Does Julie plan to take her on trails?
