Well, damn. I forgot that my parents are visiting that weekend. I'd bring my dad along, but he refuses to "climb into" the 80 whenever I ask him if he wants to go for a ride around town.

If you guys think an unlocked 4runner will make it im in.
rear locker is a minimum requirement for this one, this is a difficult trail. It is possible ATRAC might get you through if the trail is dry, however, some snow and mud might increase the difficulty. Some parts of this trail do not have a bypass.

Do you have a winch, armor and what is your skill level as a driver? Have you done other hard trails like this before? (spring creek, holy cross, wheeler lake, blanca peak, iron chest, ect)
IMO, driver ability far outweighs vehicle capability, not trying to be a gate keeper, only trying to be fair to the rest of the group

Thanks Dom for the feedback. I think i should sit this one out. My experience level is probably more around the three gulches level. Lockers are on the list though. Have fun!
Totally respectable and commendable decision, too often is caution set aside for ego. The risk of mechanical breakdown, body damage, flops or roll overs is higher with harder trails, and with that, could increase that possibility when coupled with inexperience. Even with a well built-up rig, it can offer a false sense of security in these circumstances.

We have a lot more trail days coming up with a good variety of difficulty and I look forward to 'froadin with you soon!🤘🤘

I'll see how my week goes before committing to this run. Got a lot of irons in the fire currently.
