I love white letters on muscle cars, but that's about it

I'm 37, I had no clue I was so out of touch...I love my whites being out!

FWIW- I just put new BFG M/T's on my 60 and was going to go white-out for a retro look. Got to Costco and they no longer sell BFG's with white lettering and weren't sure if they could order them. Good luck and my vote is White-out!

@Telly so what did you do? Pics?

I think more 80’s vehicles should sport the white letters out!

Growing up with classic cars I still like a good white letter out tire sometimes.

Same with white sidewalls. Skinny whites can look good on an old GTO whereas wide whites look great and correct on a ‘55 Mercury Montclair. Skinny redlines looked great on a ‘63 split window Corvette back in the day. Whatever floats your boat but torn up white lettering on a wheeling vehicle looks shabby to me.

This is how I'm going to rock. I'm installing the BFG A/T's on the tan FJ60 and install the Toyo Open Country M/T's that are currently mounted on the FJ60 onto the 78 FJ40. Why the trouble you ask? Because I'm giving my son the FJ60 and BFG's will be better on road daily driver tires than the Toyo's.

I may try to get them mounted this weekend. If I do I'll snap a pic of the white letters out!

I used to think white out was for BFG only because of legacy, but anymore good rule of thumb is to match black-out or white-out to your rims no matter the tire brand. Black-out on black/gunmetal rims and go white-out on white/chrome/raw rims.
