What a Great Return to Cruise Moab

I just wanted to take a second and express my gratitude to Rising Sun for putting on such a fun event. As some of you know, I proposed to my now wife at Cruise Moab 2009. Some of you may even remember my wife's panic at our campsite as she thought she had lost the diamond ring I gave her the following morning at the shower building of the old campsite. (She found it soon after in her toiletries bag) We ended up having our wedding in May of 2010.

So our return this year marked (generally) our 15th Anniversary. We were excited to come back with our 9 yr. old boy and show him a part of our past as well as showing him some of the most amazing geography our Country has to offer. Seeing pictures just really doesn't do it justice. It needs to be seen in person to have the correct perspective. It was also our son's first real "wheeling" since camping off of dirt roads just isn't the same.

Eric and Mike ( @CardinalFJ60 ??)were our TL and TG on Chicken Corners (Thursday) and they couldn't have been more organized
and informative. It was a long haul but the views were second to none. As I told folks during the run, "There's no point putting up a
sign that says "Scenic Vista" because it's literally ALL a scenic vista. That run was also notable in that we had Heather and Kit in
the group and George of ValleyHybrids and a YT Content Team TFL Offroad. It gave the run a sense of occasion with the drones
zipping around. It felt like we were hanging with "Cruiser Royalty".

Friday was our Fins & Things Group B run with Paul @BritKLR and Amanda. I've just got to say Paul is an extremely supportive, positive,
calming influence on the trails, with great advice, great spotting and great management. I guess what I'm saying is he has his
sh!t together in a major way and couldn't have been nicer. There was a lot of traffic on F&Ts on Saturday and he and Amanda
did a fantastic job keeping the show rolling as best they could while still being the most polite and accommodating presences
out there. We had the Toyota USA big wigs in front of us and Christo and some of his guys in our group and it was a good time.

By Saturday, we were a little spent so rather than do our planned Gemini/Longs, we unregistered the night before
and just went into Arches National Park for our son's benefit. Then we went downtown and had lunch at Trailhead
Public House, which was excellent.

Thank You, Rising Sun for making all these memories possible, our whole family is so grateful!
We had such a great time in camp as well. Super cool camp neighbors from all over the country.
We had Ashton from Alabama on our starboard side and a couple gentlemen from Kansas to our
port side and everyone we talked to we had great conversations with.

I will also add that it was so comforting to have BOTH my local mechanics on site (the guys I utilize
to fix stuff that's above my skill level) in Trevor Pepperdine and Steve Prosise @rckhound . But also
glad I didn't have to ask them to crawl under my truck for anything as well!

That's Ige's old 60, BTW. :-) I sold it to @shelb in 2010...then bought Penny from him in 2023 :-)
thought it looked familiar!

SO happy to hear such positive comments about our Trail Leaders! They are an amazing and special group for sure!
