Trail selection questions

So I know that trail selection is March 22 at 1000 mountain time. How does it work? I am familiar with out LCDC did it, which was all registered participants went into the Sched app and picked trails on a first come first serve basis (trail leaders were allowed to select first for any trails they were not leading). Is CM trail selection similar?

I want to understand now this goes and how critical it is that sign up at exactly 10am as I'll be traveling that day and likely in the Atlanta airport at that time. On LCDC, for the years I wasn't a trail leader, if you really wanted certain runs, you had to be online "at the gun" and type and click fast.

We do not use Sched app anymore, its all built out on a beautiful website by @Mrs Hulk  Its very easy to use, I've never used Sched but everyone I've heard from that has says our trail selection process is much easier and more user friendly.

Timing really depends on what trails you want, if its a really popular trail like the Swell or the Sunset Cruise then I would definitely make sure you are ready and waiting by 10am.

Also you are able to switch trails up until a day or two before the run. You will have to unregister yourself from the current trail selection before you can select a new trail. Its all pretty straightforward and very easy to do right from your phone.

Hope this helps!

Is there times put on the schedule so that you can select different trails on one day?

thanks. I'm pretty stoked for the 1st Kokopelli run so hope to snag that one and as its my first time to Moab, I feel compelled to do Hells and Fins and Things. Then probably something a little more chill and relaxing for Saturday. I tend to want the technical runs, because its so fun, but forget that consecutive days of that can be pretty tiring. If my travel logistics don't work out, maybe I can have my copilot sign us up on the web site.

No you can only sign up for 1 trail per day. Each run typically will take up most of that day.

You can join the wait list for trails that are full on a single day and also select an available trail for the same day.

Another question. I assume that a link to the trail signup website will be sent to registrants via email. Due to my travel this week, it may be easier for my copilot to do it. Are there registrant log in credentials or something needed to get into the website? Can my copilot log in as me and sign up?

It’ll be your login stuff you created when you did your regeneration.

Yeah, there is no retinal scanner or fingerprint verification. Your copilot can log in with the email and password from when you registered. If you don't remember your password, you can reset it.

thanks. I don't remember a password, just the email I used and a username that shows on my registration confirmation. Can I rest the password before the link to the trail signup is sent out? The registration link no longer works as the event is full.

You can't do so right now, but you will be able to reset it quickly when trail selection opens.

This is the section where you entered a PW. If you don't remember it you can choose the option to reset it.
