I saw that one, pretty cool. :) But if I were going to build a truck for an expedition rig, and spend that kind of money, I'd do something like this with a RTT:

Seriously? $39k for a '97 Defender when you could have a nice Cruiser for about 1/4 of that price.

Crazy pricing on those...I wanted one years ago and figured pricing wouldn't be too bad for an older rig but I was wrong...They seem to run around $40K no matter what...Seems to be what the price has been since I can remember looking at them.

They're as expensive used as they were new. That wouldn't be the case if they were still importing them.

I was trying to give one a jump start due to a flat battery that had defeated it's electrical system (theft prevention). No go,disco owner did not know the re-set technique. This made me delay my next errand, and set into motion me bumping into the fellah who sold me his 1968 LandCruiser! So stop to give,em a jump or put out their under hood fire.

Dean, that's hillarious. :) I remember (not so fondly) watching my 1967 series IIA burn to the ground. Fire extinguisher did not work :(

So a word to all, please stop to put out their underhood fire.. :)

FUnny thing is, for the longest time after that I thought a 109 or a D90 would be the coolest ever.

but those darn D90's have been that expensive for years..

soon after that I came to my senses and bought the 60.

I'd make an exception for a Dormobile, otherwise no thanks.
