Could be a bushism for a posse poseur: A "posser" is someone who pretends to have a posse, but is really just a lone gunman. hahaha

Hmm... I wonder what state it was titled in when the accident occurred. If in CO, it might have a normal title. If it was Utah titled when wrecked, it may have a Salvage title. Not a huge deal, but definitely can affect resale. Although @ 238k on the odometer maybe a non-issue.

Its a clean title. It was wrecked and I bought it that way since the guy who wrecked it didn't have full coverage insurance on it and signed the title over to the tow yard I bought it from.

I fixed that Tacoma myself with certifit fenders and a fabshop paint job. I rebuilt the headgaskets with Cometic head gaskets, and installed a brand new Gen 2 supercharger on it. I will tell you it was the cleanest 200K mile motor I have ever seen. It looked just as good as the 25K mile 1UZ that went into my buggy. Still had crosshatching in the cylinder walls and the heads were perfect internally other than the hole in the PS head. I replaced the PS head with a new Toyota casting head and had AMS machine in Fort Collins go through the heads. I did the lift, sliders, and bumper on it too as well as the tires. He's done the rest. IMO, its a fair price, but he's already bought a new 2016 Tacoma and he is VERY motivated to sell it.

I will also tell you that the accident it went through was very significant. It rear ended a tow truck with the rear forks out. One fork went through the grill and sheared the power steering pump clean off the block punching a hole in the head. Thus the reason it was replaced. The hood, both fenders, core support, radiator, A/C condenser, dryer, all A/C lines, and inner core support on the PS was cut out and replaced. It was a lot of work, but looks good from 10ft. IMHO, it need to be SAS'd and abused. Which was my plan before selling it to him.

Price seems low? Or maybe CO prices are just high?

CO prices are high on anything AWD or 4x4. It's like we can't get enough cars into the state fast enough to keep up with demand from all of the newcomers (like me!).

Thanks for letting me crash your state's party! :thumb:

The location for that is DU, which has a large number of foreign students. It could just be a language barrier. Plate wise...well, you are supposed to keep your plates when you sell a car, maybe he was just too quick on the draw. Without plates, that thing will be ticketed in a hurry down there, so maybe there's a temp tag.

Look at the color in the brake master. Deferred maint! I missed the title comment, so yeah, I would agree there unless it was very recent. For example, a truck that old could have been totaled last year by hail dings alone. So, need to know what the damage was and how long ago.

Not Craigslist but if anyone needs a set of chains for 285/75r16 or similar tire. There are sets of auto-tensioning chains at the Cabelas up North in the bargain area. $45 which is less than half of retail, peerless brand.
Got me a set and they actually fit the front of my truck w/o hitting the UCA/ ball joint.
