The only selling point is the engine swap and they don't include any pictures of the engine? Run, do not walk, to the nearest exit...

Too cool! I found myself watching a review of a 100 series version of this just a couple days ago.

why would anyone buy a car without a title unless you were going to use it for parts or keep it on your property? I guess I don't see it

Believe it or not its actually very easy to get a title for a vehicle that is 25 years or older.
You need a notorized bill of sale, certified vin inspection from the state patrol, and a record search for previous owners. If its clear from the system you get a title on the spot. If it shows previous owners you have to send a certified letter stating your intent to title the vehicle, if you receive no response after 60 days you then get the title for the vehicle. These are bonded titles but other than saying bonded i don't think there is any difference.

If it is newer than 25 you have to get a surety bond to protect everyone if there is an unknown claim on the vehicle. Otherwise its the same process.

I haven't kept up with the market for a while but those were going for ridiculous prices a little while back. One in that condition was fetching anywhere from $15k - 20k! Those prices for the armor are definitely absurd though.

as for the 2k sliders, i thought aluminum at first, but it looks like there is rust, and that's some cheesy homemade stuff, so i'd guess he got screwed. front bumper, again, if it were aluminum and professionally manufactured, i could see it being close to that.

call me insane, but he says has a $1500 clutch and the shifter looks like it could be a manual, but i see a dead pedal and no clutch pedal???

My guess is that it is the perspective of the photo. The gas pedal can be seen at 7 o'clock by the steering wheel.

I noticed today that the lot where I bought my 80 still has another 80 and a 40 (both diesels) that were there when I bought mine about 9 months ago. They're pretty heavily modified Japanese style, but I wanted to get opinions on what you think their actual value is. The prices listed seem really high to me, but I imagine you could low ball the snot out of him and he'd sell it just to get it off his lot. What do you think?

80 ($21k): https://www.autostarusadenver.com/v...ta-Land-Cruiser-for-sale-in-Lakewood-CO-80226

40 ($24k): https://www.autostarusadenver.com/vdp/12702441/Used-1981-Toyota-FJ40-for-sale-in-Lakewood-CO-80226

For reference, I got mine (which was stock) for what I think is a fair price from this guy at just under $15k, talking him down about $1500.
