@Crash I would definitely buy a raffle ticket or two for a chance to win that thing.

I need body and paint guys to help with my 68 bronco. @Crash Is that something Gonzalo and Jose would take on? I have all new body panels, etc.
I asked Gonzalo this morning if he would take on any more work and his answer is no. He is retiring at the end of May and has enough projects to keep him busy until then. He worked on at least nine Rising Sun vehicles, including three of mine, and each one made the owners quite happy. Both with the quality of work and for his very fair prices. All that and he has become a personal friend of several of us and having a couple of beers at his shop after hours is always filled with good humor and it’s a great place to brush up on your Spanish. 😁🍺
Thats color is beautiful.
The color is terra cotta and a factory option in 1980. Dean wanted to spice things up and Gonzalo obliged.

Bummer! Sounded like a perfect person for me. Wonder if he would recommend anyone.

Not on C-list or Market place BUT it's still proof you CAN polish a turd...

  • Bold move rhino lining the snorkel...
  • Can't get in/out of the passenger door without rubbing up against that hi-lift. Great thinking.
  • Exposed wiring and electrical tape on the dome light is a nice touch..
  • Electric windows don't feel right, especially with a canvas top.
  • POR-15 everything. Hope the conversion coating isn't rust.
  • Uhhh... The snorkel doesn't connect with the intake. It's just covering the vent..
Good Lawd.

I've asked that question before and his answer was no. We are picking the Hilux up tomorrow and I'll ask him again.

I appreciate it. Thank you!

And if you could convince him to take one more project, on his timeline that would be amazing 🤩

Raffle would be sweet, but impossible to do legally in Colorado unless through an established charity or licensed gaming organization.
