While driving my 62 recently I gave a wave to a new Cruiser. The guy looked at me like “I don’t know you.” I tried.

And I wave at 40s, 60s, 80s, 100s and 200s and they don't wave back! Even a lot of other 250s that I wave to don't seem to notice. At least with the FJC introduction Toyota made a big deal about the heritage. I'm starting to see more and more 250s on the road these days, pretty much one or more every day. They aren't as ubiquitous as 5th gen 4Runners, but it looks like they're a LOT more popular than 200s.

One of my customers is as into binders as much as we are into Land Cruisers. I've made some parts for some of his restos.
My FIL had one in the 1970s and he said it was the worst car he's ever owned, from a mechanical/reliability standpoint. He said he couldn't wait to get rid of it. He drives a Lexus now, his second one.

Aw man, cut him some slack. There's a lot of 100, 200 and 250 owners who wouldn't know a 60 from an old Bronco either. I'd just take the complement, it really is a nice jeep you got.
