almost forgot...cool cruiser rc car photo in a youtube video i was watching about soldering
That's very cool! I kind of wish they'd have kept the square bezel being a 1984, though.

I don't disagree, although I'm kind of a dork for accuracy. But when a fella (or gal) is spending FJ Company kind of money they deserve to definitely enjoy their truck.True, Personally I've always liked the look of the round bezel over the square bezel.
not sure what other markets were running. it's a non us rig and they often have different and sometimes much older partsThat's very cool! I kind of wish they'd have kept the square bezel being a 1984, though.
This is it before restoration. Dig the Foose Design sticker on the windshield. It's an abomination in so many ways fer sure. But also interesting in the oddness. Anyone know the story on the fiberglass top? Assuming it's some sort of tropical or hot weather thing.not sure what other markets were running. it's a non us rig and they often have different and sometimes much older parts
south american market. the 40 series were like that also. i believe there are a few companies in brazil making them.Anyone know the story on the fiberglass top? Assuming it's some sort of tropical or hot weather thing.
They do seem common when you search for Colombian or Brazilian Land Cruisers. Looks like they have vents in the front. Wonder if they are double wall like those tropical Rover roofs. Cool.south american market. the 40 series were like that also. i believe there are a few companies in brazil making them.
I went up to him the day after I saw that he was driving it and the conversation went like this:
Me: "Hey man, nice 200!"
Him: "Nice what?"
Me: "Nice 200."
Him: "Huh?"
Me: "Your Land Cruiser, the truck that you're driving!"
Him: "Oh, yeah, thanks. My dad gave it to me. It's ok."
Me: "........(staring at him)...........Ok then!" and I walked away.
****Edit**** Ha ha I realized that what I said below wasn't clear. I was referring to what the kid said and nothing that @DanTheMan said. I totally quoted the wrong post and apologies to DanTheMan. Many times I think I am being more precise with what I am saying than I am.****End Edit****I'm surprised by the amount of people that don't care/don't know about what vehicle they are driving!
Maybe it is unfair, but that statement just reeks of an entitled mentality. That thought process is like a disease for so many people. I have reached the point where I appreciate that with lots of hard work (and a fair amount of luck,) I can say that I worked for everything that I have. It is tough to see sacrifice and work as a gift, but they are. They both make attaining the goal so much more worth it.
The intern we have right now at work is driving this....

MPR in Colombia is one of the larget makers of those tops. Virtually all Colombian rigs came with no top or soft top only, so rarely have true OEM roofs. These are pretty cool though as they ventilate to the rear of the truck & usually have built in speaker holes & such. Sometimes they have fiberglass amby doors & sometimes just one big rear door. I'm not sure if that was year specific, or just depended on what you wanted. They aren't OEM, but they are usually original to the truck, so I don't necessarily think they discount the value, so to speak. But I do like the OEM roofs better in terms of looks. But I also actually prefer the square bezels personally. Except of course, for the stamped bezels. They are the coolest of all bezels. This is it before restoration. I'm not sure what you're saying here... As I read it, I think Dan is saying the same thing you are. This kid with the 200 is driving a pretty expensive car and he doesn't even know what it is. He didn't work for it, it was given to him and he surely doesn't appreciate it.
I can admit that I have the disease of being a gearhead and a car enthusiast so I also think it's sad that many people out there don't care or know what they are driving. I don't think that makes me an elitist, but rather my heart pains for people who don't have any emotional attachment to the hunks of steel and plastic that they own and operate. IMHO they are missing out on one of the fantastic things this life has to offer.
Then again, I probably need psychological help for my unhealthy love for these inanimate objects.![]()
If it's only "ok," how about you let me take that off your hands for say 15k. Then you have plenty of money for a sweet scooter to go with your man bun. Much easier to find a parking spot too, and fits your boring life a lot better. The intern we have right now at work is driving this....

Hey now, we're looking for a scooter. They ARE easier to park and run years on a thimble of gas.If it's only "ok," how about you let me take that off your hands for say 15k.
