Ok your engine mounts are too old. You need to go find some cast steel ones out of the newer 90-95 vintage 3.0l.

That does look like the correct oil dipstick tube boss.

I think I'll just need the passenger side. The driver's mounts up just fine, unless the positioning is just wrong.

Ran into issue #1. this is the passenger side 3.0 motor mount bolted to the 3.4 block. Solutions?

For some reason my reply didn't post earlier...

Make your own mounts! Will end up a lot cleaner, cannot fail and take up less room. Easy fab!

this the cast piece behind the driver's side motor mount I drill into for the 3.0 dipstick?

Looks like it. Find someone who has one of Mikes drill guide or use the new dipstick tube and insert to determine position and angle.

Don't have the welding resources at my shop. Aaaaand it'll probably cost about the same since you can just get 3.0 motor mounts

Yea mrdoug on CoTTORA is letting me borrow his. Unless someone closer than Loveland has one...

You could verify against your old man's motorvator.

Wiring Review

Hey guys, take a look at this matrix I made for wiring my 4Runner.

I am attaching a spreadsheet I made to match up the wiring from the 91 4Runner (5 speed M/T 3VZE) with the 96 4Runner (5 speed 5VZ-FE). Guys take a look and flag anything you see that does not look right. I think it is self-explanitory but question anything you see.
Thanks, Terry

Looks like your missing the reverse switch. Looks ok without getting a EWD and tracing everything out.

New question. I just drilled the hole for my new dipstick and the 3/8" is too small for the ones I have(3.0 truck and 3.4 Runner) The ORS instructions don't say anything about drilling any bigger after using the guide. Which one am I supposed to use?

All my blocks are pre-2000. I looked for those model years because of the dipstick tube predrilled and the harness. A 1999 harness is the easiest for the conversion harness.

What did you do for a dipstick?

Mine was a 96 and had the plug that I just used a drift to remove. The union that the guide goes into has a machined shoulder that seats on the block. The hole size should be a press fit for the smaller portion of the union.

Part Numbers
Union - 90405-10033
Dipstick Guide - 11452-62060
Dipstick - 15301-62060
o-Ring - 96721-19010

Hope this helps. Terry

Gonna get the hood custom cowled. The supercharger sits about three inches above hood line.

These are the ceramic coated manifolds and crossover. I didn't get pictures when the engine was out.

I won't lie I'm super intimidated by the wiring. I can't seem to make the conversion harness diagram work right.

Grrrr.... :(

So my blue PITA project is mobile!

I'll post up more pics soon but thefatkid was beyond helpful and did an awesome job on the conversion harness

Once I got rolling a few things popped up that needed immediate repairs  like u joints coming apart. So I went to see Bill's Englewood Driveshaft and problem solved. But while in Front Wheel Drive found my CV's making hella noise. My heater controls feel all jammed up so I took it apart and found someone had tried to bolt together broken lever parts

Ah the joys of an old project truck.
On the plus side it keeps up with Ford Raptors so that's
