Looks good for weather...

Supposed to get some snow today and tomorrow, with sun and 23°F coming in on Tuesday. That should make for an awesome day!

I plan to be up there with the wife to back county ski. She doesn't know anything about a run going on. I expect conditions to be rough again this Jan.

Nice pics, looks like a good time. I can't wait till Saturday to be bashing my own path.
Did you guys make it all the way?

We made it to the ridge road from the lower road from the cemetery. Snow was heavily drifted and some places the crust would hold you and other places it wouldn't. We had a winch fest in a section about 300yards long as the crust just wouldn't support us. We were victorious in reaching our first goal of the ridge road but shadows were getting pretty long at that point so we called it a day. Big fun! A couple other groups we up there and it looks like they headed to Yankee Hill via the ridge road but I have no idea of how far they got. We looked to be better set up than they were but who knows what kind of goodies they had yet to pull out. It was a perfect day with a deep blue sky and very little wind. We had a blast! I have quite a few pics too that I need to resize....stay tuned...

Sounds like good fun. We didn't make it up.

If I understand correctly, it sounds like others came up from York gulch to the ridge road?

Wow, it looks like tough snow conditions in spots.

piece of cake :) looks like saturday will be fun :)

Hopefully it will either crust up some or warm up some as the talcum powder snow under the light crust has no traction. I stayed bare rubber which helped stay on top for a lot of it while the chains chewed through the crust immediately leaving the vehicles sitting on frame rails and wheels churning helplessly. It was fun and the weather was perfect but some more wind or some sun will help tremendously!
