Spoke with Yoder about 30 minutes ago on a cell phone, they're doing fine. He hitched a ride up in a golf cart thing to get cell coverage, was doing some check-ins. As we were hanging up Marco was calling on the 2m, so things appear to be going as planned here.

Said his T-Case is split open, not possible to drop the rear DS and limp out, but he can idle and use brakes all day so should be able to strap him out once a big 60 with a V8 & 35's rolls up.

Great job guys!
I would much rather have gone out there to help today than do what I had to do… lol

I'll let Marco give the story, here are some pics that I wanted to get up because I'll be on the road tomorrow.

The trail was pretty technical the last 4 miles (for me), so all pics are from the mellow areas. We were all anxious to get Scott's rig to the road, and athough there were lots of great potential photo/video op places we didn't take any. There was work to be done.

It was an adventure, and my first time actually meeting members of the Rising Sun club. Seems like a great group, you all are lucky for the camaraderie!

From the Flattops today, back to the Flatlands tomorrow for me ;)

John

Main leaf weld

It was the main leaf so we needed to repair it to keep the axle lined up and in place so we did a little trail welding and repair.

And for good measure.

We wrapped the welded leaf in several rounds of bailing wire and topped it off with some duct tape. Made it down a 25 mile bumpy road and is currently on its way to Denver with no problems!
