5/22/16 Slaughterhouse Gulch 101, 105. 4 people one truck 4 hours. Picked up some trash. Trail is in decent shape considering the level of use it sees. The illegal loop down by the big meadow in the bottom really needs to be closed, but it will take a lot of buck and rail to do it. Started by ATVs a couple of years ago and now being used by full size rigs.

Are you talking about the one that goes up the hill from the back Valley?

Yes. It is approximately where I put the black line on the map below:

My scale may be off, and I don't know the exact route because I won't drive on it. Goes up into the woods to the left of the trail and comes back down further along the trail. It is before you head back up the big hill climb out of the valley.

This section has been a problem for several years...maybe more. Perhaps some post and cable could solve it....not sure...I've picked up a 30 gal bag of trash here more than once.

That's deplorable. Sadly, not uncommon the closer you get to town. Should have taken an "after" picture, Alex!

Thankfully, it would have been a boring after photo - filled my trasharoo real quick!

We were there two weeks ago filled the trasharoo, a big box and 4 trash bags from campsites. It was real bad. We just moved to pine so might not make it to that area as much as we used to.

Trail Patrol : Trash picked up
1 Rig, 2 persons, 5 hours

Helped change a Isuzu Trooper flat tire with my HI-Lift on the trail.
Almost got shot by some dumb crazy rednecks shooting at the side of the hill I was coming down, very very close...scary for a moment hearing the bullets whiz by from an AR15.
