On a plane...
Had a little tattoo work done yesterday. Made a few images. I *really* need to find a way to get back to this full time. Soon hopefully...

Here's an older one. Kinda fresh when I took this. Haven't taken any yet of it finished as I wanted to wait for it to heal up a bit more.

My artist, Laura, is here in San Diego and I wanted to make sure I got all the current stuff finished up before we move in a couple of weeks. She does some of the best line work I've seen and her color is just crazy. I've got her on the hook to do my back so she'll have to make some stops in Denver.

Nice! Did you have any trouble with the red ink? Last June I asked my :Princess: what she wanted for her birthday. She said a tattoo! When I asked her where she wanted it, she replied "On your arm!" So my first tat was also her first! She said it didn't hurt one little bit! So after my/our first, to follow with the theme, I needed a second one! They aren't quite done but will be soon.

As far as being a Photoshop, maybe. I do see the light at her back and to the right on the towers.

Although I've been able to get a similar effect twice on the White Rim using neutral density filters, timing and a bit of luck. These are film scans and I did work on the first one at the light/dark boundary along the rim cliffs right along the sky to get some detail. The second is a straight scan and you can see the cliffs lost detail. The ND filter is a straight line and the world is not straight, so you have to compromise. The way to do it is take a few shots and make a composite, but that's a pro with a digital camera or unlimited film budget.

Your pics are nice! The sun just doesn't lie...Looking at the pic of the sunset, the sun would be at 12oclock, the first rock the sun shines at 6, second rock sun shines at 3 (as well as the horse and rider, the third rock gives about a 4:30 shadow. I still like the picture, but the sun isn't consistant.

I do agree, the one Wes posted is 3 photos combined. Not a singular place or time.
