I only ask because back in 1979 when the Colorado Hookless was listed it turns out they inadvertently lumped a bunch of species together.

They've since figured genetically they are more diverse than originally thought. There's the Colorado and Dawson's Hookless in Colorado and the Uintah Hookless and Pariette cactus (this one is especially rare, thought to only exist in the Pariette Draw near Roosevelt, UT).

Not sure which would be in Moab and I'm kind of curious to know. I also wonder if the BLM biologists might want to know.

I followed Scott T. and his dad, Lee, around Baja in 2024. We found cacti and the moon. Steve Crase and Suzie were there. My wife touched some whales. They feel like really thick eggplants. (I refuse to elaborate further.)
