Night pics. All shots were taken at the same exposure to attempt to show the difference. The light is brighter in person if you can believe it.

Shutter speed: 1/13
Exposure Program: Manual
F-sto: f/3.5
ISO speed: 1600
Focal Legnth: 18mm
Flash: Did not fire

This is with a 35watt HID in the low beams:

This is a 55watt HID in the high beams (stupid bright by itself):

wow. really. looks like your lows/highs are reversed in aim though, or do you have that on purpose. I know I did that on the rover, well kinda, I special ordered h4 bulbs that were higher wattage/lumens on low beam.

That truck is a thing of beauty btw.

I think I can see photosynthesis taking place there. :D

Did you notice a charging system load at idle? Lower voltage and rpms?

Wagon gear is in :) My tailgate was really bent so I straightened it while I was in there.

What did you use to cut the metal out? That alone has kept mine on the shelf 'cuz I don't want to screw up the cutting :hill:

I used a metal cutoff wheel. Buy the Pferd brand, they work really well. I did have to break out the sawzall to get to the braces as the cutoff isn't deep enough.

Dumb question: is the piano hinge always at the top or can you reverse it?

The piano hinge is that way on all of them....I think the reason is the tailgate mechanism is right there and would interfere with the latch.

Pics of the inside. I am still going to line the tailgate with some rubber.

The ARB towstrap fits in the middle with twice the room on each end.

Installed the National Luna kit with a slight modification. The solenoid they provide is 85amps continuous and whether it was right or not, I felt the need to upgrade it to something bigger. The Wrangler is 200amps continuous with a 600amp momentary (30sec I think). The Warn 9500 pulls 490 at peak so that should be better. The brains were remoted to the back of the box to make room for the big solenoid.

Here are a few other mods to round out things I have put off for too long.

One kick ass table! Stainless and always there if you need one.

And some fused switched power for the interior. I used the old cigarette lighter to energize the relay and ran a constant power source to the lighter. I have always disliked that the lighter was only on with the key on. This kit from Painless has half switched and the other are constant. Even wired up the seat heaters.

That table is uber cool! Is it AO?

It is the African Outback table. I don't think it is very heavy but you have to be tall enough to reach the rack. It appears the stainless is a very high grade as well.
