In the town of Sundance, WY. Harry Longabaugh, aka the Sundance Kid was sentenced to 18 months of jail time after steeling a horse, saddle and gun. His nickname the "Sundance Kid" came from his time in the jail in Sundance, WY.

During lunch at another bar in Sundance, WY , with the snow blowing sideways we opted for a hotel that night. After getting checked in, we headed out to see the town. Someone mentioned that we should go bar hopping. We got to this bar across from the hotel and closed it down. ....

Apparently the Black Hills enjoys Halloween. There is a contest for businesses in Sundance, WY for who gets the most dressed up. In Deadwood, SD, they have a weekend festival.

At the Crook County Museum. They had a bunch of artifacts from the original trial of the Sundance KId. @Rocky @Crook County Museum was happy to share the history. Even sent us to a new area for Outlaw lore.

Per @Rocky at the museum in Sundance,WY, we headed north from Aladdin, WY to get to Colony, WY. We tried to head north via dirt roads, but too many private ranches dotted this area.. Still great country to check out.
Colony, WY. This building was once a part of the 3B Ranch. A boarding house where the Sundance Kid spent some time while working on the ranch. Today, it's the community center of Colony, WY. Est 1958.

Bella Fourche, SD. Not only is it the geographical center of the US, it was also a site of a foiled bank robbery by the "Wild Bunch". Kid Curry, along with two other companions, set out to rob the bank in town. Tom O'Day, it seemed, wasnt the best scout to send to the saloons...
Not long after getting the 4runner unstuck on the first climb, found myself stuck again. Behind me, Shawn Cardinal is stuck as well. With the group focused on getting him out, I set out with the traction aids again. Proved to be a useful tool, one that I think most of the group used at some point.
Finally made it to the top of the long hill climb. From here, only a short drive to a more traveled road. Though still not out of the woods yet.
Land Cruisers in there natural habitat. Ended up spending quite a bit of time here. Hulk inspected another road that took him a lot longer to climb back out of. Evening was setting in and the snow starting to fall.
