I'll likely head out Thursday and stop around the CO/UT border Thursday night then be into Moab camp mid-day Friday. FJ40 with M416 in tow is pretty dang slow going LOL. :ROFLMAO:

During a November 2000 Moab prerun, I broke an axle, Bruce Westlund broke a pinion and Bruce Miller broke a birfield.

Here's the trip report.

Edit: This was the waterfall on Poison Spider. Note the snow. It was definitely NOT warm days, it was cold days and got colder as the sun went down. See the spinning left front tire, open front diff. Left rear about to (or possibly just) breaking that axle.

Count me in.

I'll be returning from Romania the weekend prior. As long as I don't get sick from layover in France, then I'm down to poke around Moab and camp/relax with friends. I have no strong preference on trails. Just want to camp, hangout, relax, tell stories, maybe ride shotgun, and totally up for doing open mic night comedy type shenanigans around a campfire. Kevin Hart's book has me wanting practice doing stand up comedy. Also if people bring firewood, I'll bring the tools to take care of it :)

Ill update with a spot when I figure out my schedule.

If this (plan B is the BLM land here 38.65765,-109.8275972) is the spot we have used on several Moab Pre-Runs, its pretty hard to beat this location. If this is true, I vote for using it. Any other opinions?

I'm looking to camp Thursday at BLM Campsites, High North Campground,( 39.19456 -109.02905 )Rabbit Valley Exit. Others welcome to join me there. No fee, but permit required(available onsite) very basic area with no facilities.
FYI

All the camping around Rabbit Valley, including High North, now requires a paid reservation.

What you choose or choose not to do, well. Yeah.

Note, Rabbity Giggity typo is BLM (or rather whoever Booz Allen Hamilton has put together rec.gov website).

I'm in the middle of selling my 80 and buying another one and doubt I'll have everything squared away by then. Please put me down as tentative with a high likelihood that I won't be able to swing it.
