Yep same both our dogs had it happen multiple times in the past two years. Dumb dogs. Eye Specialists for Animals is our go-to.

Had a great time yesterday with the non Noobs who ran Slaughterhouse before Jackson and his crew. Fun to meet more folks and see some cool trucks. Uneventful trip until we returned to gas station and my 100 would not start. Tried to replace fuses and no luck. Wound up disconnecting battery for an ECU reboot and started fine. Looking forward to more adventures with rising sun this summer.

Hello There!

I guess I just jumped up from noob to amateur after attending the noob run with Jackson. I had a great time and learned a lot, thanks to Jackson and to Mendocino for hanging out with us.

I had a great time too. It was the first time I was the lead truck on a group run :D I hope I did right by all in the group. I also got a few pics.

The day was beautiful!

Thanks everyone!

It helps having good teachers. Last year I picked up a few pointers from Jackson that definitely helped. And last weekend it definitely helped when Dan reminded me to do left foot braking.

On a side note (and hoping this isn't too long), I noted I was among a few with Ham radio usage and I'm no expert by any stretch. Given recent events throughout the nation, I've been thinking more and more about Ham radio use during emergency situations (one of its paramount reasons for being available to the public). At a minimum it's good for hearing the NOAA weather forecast when out of cell range. In worse situations, it's possibly useful for calling for help/rescue. Worse yet, it's very good if you can help be part of a network to help spread information when other forms of communication are down.

I think I remember seeing our forum has a section for Ham, but I haven't visited it yet. I will soon. Anyway, I wanted to make the note here in case it helps encourage others who might be less likely than I to consider Ham radio's application for emergency situations. Also if anyone needs help with Ham, I'd be more than happy to help. Being that I'm struggling with figuring it out now, all the lessons I've learned are fresh.

since when people started to call such runs "noobs run"? It's a great set-up for either beginner and amateur

Beginner, amateur, Noob- short for Newbie; referring to individuals with less than average experience. :coffee:
