mines not a DX.
I didn't know that much about it when I found it. When I figured out that it was the mid to late 30's frames they liked I started looking for them and couldn't find one.
I have to look at the serial number again to see what year it was, I forgot, but I think it was early 40's... so mid war? It has a curved top tube. I think that's why the head badge isn't really like the original DX frames... because it's later.
the only thing I am not too jazzed about is that the seat stays aren't like the DX frames, they are brazed onto the sides of the seat posts. Maybe they'll snap off.
yeah, I've never tried to build a wheel... I feel like I can just let somebody else do that.. I think it is going to take some funky spokes to make it work with the front drum brake.
