Those are either an early, pre-Land-Cruiser "BJ" or an AK10, right? I don't know how to tell those two models apart. Really cool seeing them in a film!
They look so similar to early jeeps I did a lot of research before deciding they were Toyotas. Those are either an early, pre-Land-Cruiser "BJ" or an AK10, right? I don't know how to tell those two models apart. Really cool seeing them in a film!
Ha watching this now and just got me to check this threadThe next season of Jack Ryan on Amazon is out, and looks like there's going to be some 60 series action.
Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell has a red and white Pig in it...
Spent a day with Chris while doing concert promotions that summer. Never saw his 40 but we had a ‘73 back then while living in Evergreen. Not a movie, but here’s Chris Hillman of the Byrds & Flying Burrito Brothers in a 40. See the mirror? Photo was taken by Henry Diltz, probably near Nederland, in 1976. Saw this on Instagram and left the caption in the photo.

Wow! As a huge Byrds/Burritos fan I’d love to hear more of the story!Spent a day with Chris while doing concert promotions that summer. Never saw his 40 but we had a ‘73 back then while living in Evergreen.
Definitely aware of the studio up there, and the fire that closed it. I’ve hiked out there a couple times as well. A heady time near Nederland I bet.Yeah, we used to wheel up by Caribou (above Nederland) in the mid 70s and there was a lot of recording activity going on up there by major artists.
