Those are either an early, pre-Land-Cruiser "BJ" or an AK10, right? I don't know how to tell those two models apart. Really cool seeing them in a film!

They look so similar to early jeeps I did a lot of research before deciding they were Toyotas.

I'm basing this mostly on the headlight guards, front fenders, and the weird thing just in front of the door opening

Watched Belleville Cop the other night with Luis Guzman, which ended up being quite good. Odd couple buddy cop movie with some Bad Boys inspiration. A decent bit of the movie has subtitles with mixed english, french, and spanish. The cherry on top was the "high speed" land cruiser chase scene with an 80 series. Also some 70 series utes.

The next season of Jack Ryan on Amazon is out, and looks like there's going to be some 60 series action.

In triple frontier the main cast uses an 80 to do their recon, then the final scene they escape in a 60 that's modified into a pick up....was literally talking to @Cruisertrash about this last week or so

Also one that I've never seen mentioned on the ih8mud thread: Javier Bardeem almost runs over Julia roberts in eat, pray, love driving a 43 series

I don't have pictures to post but "Quiet Earth" has an 84' or 85' double cab Hi-Lux. 7.5 x 16 bias ply traction tyres on two piece wheels, two handle tailgate with outside turned bed and tie downs, diesel and Cibea lamps!
It is a decent story with a British Leyland 101 and a big road train truck. it's worth watching the flick!

Not a movie, but here’s Chris Hillman of the Byrds & Flying Burrito Brothers in a 40. See the mirror? Photo was taken by Henry Diltz, probably near Nederland, in 1976. Saw this on Instagram and left the caption in the photo.

Spent a day with Chris while doing concert promotions that summer. Never saw his 40 but we had a ‘73 back then while living in Evergreen.

Wow! As a huge Byrds/Burritos fan I’d love to hear more of the story!

Yeah, we used to wheel up by Caribou (above Nederland) in the mid 70s and there was a lot of recording activity going on up there by major artists.

Definitely aware of the studio up there, and the fire that closed it. I’ve hiked out there a couple times as well. A heady time near Nederland I bet.

It was a magical and wild rock and roll kinda place in the 70's and 80's. The old Pioneer Inn bar (now gone) had all sorts of memorabilia and photos hanging on the walls of the musicians coming in, parting and playing music. When I was the Nederland Police Chief/Marshal there was a number of old case files, reports, notes, and evidence photos of "questionable" behavior of some of the famous people visiting the ranch and behaving badly in town....something about the famed Caribou loaner Corvette.?.?.
Now that NPD is no more, I'd hope before the town throws everything away, someone has an opportunity to study those old files and write an interesting book!
