Can anyone interpret this, from the BLM statement: Within the Moab Field Office, 96% of the Jeep Safari routes remain available for off highway vehicle use.

People's Soviet Socialist Republic of California,
Southern Wyoming, Moab, big chunks of eastern Oregon and Idaho... all of this is coming out at the same time. Was there some review that happened across all BLM lands that is all coming out right now?

Hmmm well maybe Toyota will start breeding horses. Sucks to see 10mi wash closed, and all the others on that list. Shall we start organizing protest runs? Anyone have news connections? Or we could start writing letters harder… that seems to be working great!

Almost like all the unelected unaccountable a$$h*les in charge make rules only lawyers can challenge and couldn’t care less what the public wants it’s easier to cater to the fringe.

I think it’s more like there’s no funding in middle ground.

Combine that with the infiltration of SUWA into positions of power and the fact that their lobbying power and level of organization is 100x what the OHV community is and this is what you get….. the Golden Rule.

It’s so frustrating. And like politics in general it’s tough not to be apathetic and just sipping a beer while you watch the future of your passion, lively hood, and much hard work just burn in front of you.

Anyhow, I don’t know how to fight it. I reckon we need to buy a politician, but those cost a lot more than I got.

It's top down lockstep to cut off access to public lands. By top down I mean the UN and executive branch. That's what they ran on. It's inevitable that all these areas will be cut off. Sorry to be political but half the country literally believes that humans are bad and ruining the world.

Sad…. Can’t help to bring politics in on this one. Heard of the 30 by 30 and 50 by 50 initiatives?? We are watching it unfold…

Exactly. Enacted by unelected unaccountable bureaucrats who don’t GAF.
Keep voting for more government regardless of party and this is what happens. The government DOESN’T CARE ABOUT US.

"The federal government owns 0.27 percent of Connecticut's total land, 8,557 acres out of 3,135,360 total acres. Connecticut ranked 49th in the nation in federal land ownership."

Maybe the BLM should focus on protecting land in states that are at the bottom of the list of meeting that 30 by 30 goal. I am sure you would see an army of lawyers rise up if they tried that. I guess they are going for the easy pickings.

Did anyone notice all the local governments listed as "Defendant-Intervenors" in the settlement agreement. Sounds like the locals are not allowed to self rule. Wait, I have heard of this before....

The more I think about this, the more pissed off I get… What is the best way to fight this crap?? I’m sure we all emailed and sent letters, clearly they are not listening.

I guess it’s just shut up and “OBEY”.

Blue Ribbon Coalition is fighting it in the courts which is probably the only real way anything will change. Problem is they just run off donations from people like us. In order to win they need a multi million dollar budget and a team of lawyers.

I was thinking Blue Ribbon. Membership is not enough, almost need to start a go-fund me for them…

Yea when folks like SUWA have 10’s of millions at their disposal, a billionaire backer and have infiltrated San Juan, Moab City, and Grand County official positions, and who knows when it comes to the BLM, it’s almost like we let that one slip and gear up for a legal war for the next round. I donate pretty religiously to the BRC, but we won’t have the backing we need until we convince a major brand like Polaris, Toyota, Jeep…. Etc to get on board and start fighting with us. Hell ask anyone in Oil & Gas how tough it is to battle SUWA or the Sierra club.
