Here is the Thursday Run Christo Led on Hells, I was the Gunner

Christo spotted an 80 on Hells gate. He (driver) didn't go passenger enough as Christo told him. Popped a bead and had to be winched up. Learned how to reset a Bead. Very educational

Then a 40 with huge tires made it look easy

It was nice to have the full Romer Caravan at Cruise Moab again after 7 years

Saturday I led Fins

Stock 200 , new 5th gen and GX460 on the trail. All did well. Also a few 40's, and Fj45, My 200, Sarah's 100, a couple of 3rd Gen 4runners, and FJ and Zack in his mini truck. A good assortment of vehicles. Zack did Kennys Climb open. Nice job!

I recognize the boulder. Is that coming down from Shaffer's trail into Potash road?

Looks like the weather was great! Ken you were supposed to have another 200 on Fins on Sat, and Darren and Justin were supposed to be on that trail. I know from many past events, a lot of plans on who is on what trail get tossed out due to changing circumstances and plans. How was that trail that day?

Sure missed having you there, Jeff.

I missed you guys too Stan, this would have been my 17th Cruise Moab. As I have been doing all week, I have been thinking about what I would ordinarily doing at Cruise Moab.

Tonight I would be unloading my rig, and (usually) setting up my tent in the backyard to dry before taking it back down and stowing for next use.

Putting my toothpaste and soap back in the bathroom, throwing my clothes into the laundry, uploading my photos onto my computer, and above all else, greeting my lovely wife.

Since I was here all week for the latter, I can only say that this was a wonderful Mother's Day for her and we had a wonderful family gathering with 3 generations of mothers today.

Yes, Jeff, your name was mentioned quite a bit this year - you were missed. As you said about Scott's invitation to his b-day party Saturday night - Lemonade! That goes for the three generations of mothers being together and that you were a part of that. It's all good.

Jeff,
You were both missed and honored at this years event. Many many people asked me about you and offered you their support and kind words. Greg Luer did a very nice job on the mic outlining all you've done for the event all these years and thanking you on the stage which was very well received by the big crowd. The committee members and club members really stepped up BIG time to support you and this wonderful event.

I can't thank everyone enough for all they have done, it was a fantastic event and experience for all involved.

Thank you Jeff, Thank you Committee members, and Thank You Rising Sun!,

Thank you Steve! That's very thoughtful and much appreciated. As Perry said to me (before I even learned what was going on in my family), he said that Rising Sun is like a family to him, and he was very appreciative of the opportunity to be our event coordinator. You guys are like extended family to me too.

At this evening's Kittredge Civic Association meeting I learned that one our newly-elected board members' father was one of the first Commanders of Rising Sun back in the 1980s. She had just learned that I was a member of Rising Sun and was excited to share that!
