Ok, who's gone?

Thoughts?

All electric karts. Top speed is listed at 45mph for the adult karts. Track features an elevated section and some decent corners.

I took my father this afternoon as a Father's Day gift. We had a decent time. I could see myself spending a decent amount of time there. Only downside besides price was the slower drivers not letting you by. But that is to be expected at any track with newbies. Horrible photo, but my 82 year old father was all smiles, even if his best lap time was 2 seconds slower than mine. But he showed some massive improvement so I know the racing sim we put together for him at his house is working.

I’ve done it before. It’s fun but I don’t like the time trial type “racing”. I’d rather have a track with room to pass than simply race the clock to determine a winner.

I raced my son at the location in Phoenix this year. At least we had the track to ourselves so aI was able to set him up a couple times in one corner and pull off a pass. Otherwise there simply was not room to overtake anyone if they stayed in the race line.

All that said they are fast for what they are. I wouldn’t want to ball one up bad, high chance of injury.

They are decent in speed. Advertise 45mph but you know they can turn that up some. The fastest lap time record was in the 17 second range. The 2nd-5th places are all right at the 30 second point. My fastest was 32 seconds... No way someone could complete the lap in that time with the power the karts were producing. Wish they were a bit faster, but then I'd want a cage for sure. They are 48v units running 52v batteries. Charger:

My personal electric off road kart I built is about twice as fast with the top speed doing 75mph. So I kinda wish they'd let me bring in my personal kart. 72v motor with 84v battery plus a bent up cage from a couple tumbles at speed...

I've taken the kids to the one in Littleton at least 3-4 times. My wife and I haven't raced because you can't drink and race (duh) and, well, we were with the kids...so I was drinking (duh). Nevertheless, it looks badass and the kids absolutely love it. Can't wait until I can go without them and get behind the wheel. :ROFLMAO:

As an alternative, I really enjoy IMI. It's one of the sanctioned courses in Colorado if you are looking to get into racing professionally, but they have rentals as well. Unsure exactly how fast they are but I would assume 50+ for the lowest powered rentals.

The track we were at in Phoenix only had one corner you couldn’t manage at full throttle. That corner dictated your time. I don’t remember that big of discrepancy with the track record. I just remember after two runs I was in the top 10% of track times.

How does their scoring work? Is it by each location, or state, or nation wide? Is it total number of laps or races?

We only did two races each with about 12 laps each. And this was our first time out there. But my first race I was #666,214 out of 21,819,622. And my second race, which was only minutes later I was #338,167 out of 21,819,852. So it that 21 million the amount of races? Laps? If so, that would mean in my first race I was in the top 3.5% and in my second I was in the top 1.55%? But of what? And that seems off to me as I am not that good of a driver, even if I pretend to be... ;)
