Prepping the truck for 2023 adventures! I'm going to be doing several events and car shows etc this year taking the EV80 all over the country.

This weekend I will be going to Lafayette Cars & Coffee tomorrow and Old Gang Ice Racing Fun Day on Georgetown Lake on Sunday. I'm doing the Rising Sun Snow Run the following week. And in March I am taking the EV80 to Matt's Offroad Adventures Wrecker Olympics in Hurricane, UT! Cruise Moab and possibly Lone Star Roundup as well. And that's just the start, it should be just as busy all year!

Would much prefer people accept and maintain their own accountability, and that the laws we have are enforced without new ones to enforce the old ones and so on. But if there is anything that this little 3 year experiment has shown us (at least me) is that most people will take the mile given to them. Think there was a pic in the meme thread that proved just that, if it was real.

I took it to Cars & Coffee today in Lafayette and met up with the Drive Electric CO folks. Got to park next to a Rivian. Tons of questions and everyone was positive!

CDL switch finally installed and wired up. I was just hot wiring it with stripped wires before...which didn't work very well so this is much nicer!

Wired it in with two relays I found in a box by the side of the road. The LED only comes on when the diff is actually locked as I included both of the stock limit switches in the circuit. So if the light is on, the driver knows it's fully locked up.

Too much fun today. I was invited out to test my EV Land Cruiser on TFL's off-road test course at Tumbleweed Ranch. It was completely soggy and the ground was soupy mud but it was a riot!

I saw the episode. Good showing of electric capabilities. The hosts seemed overly surprised in the capability of the whole rig. Makes me really wonder how good the other trucks are that they test. Just need to put one in a F150 Raptor or Ram TRX to make more people think about the possibilities.

Made it to the top of Sand Hollow dunes! This truck climbs everything so far!

This interaction I had with a couple other Toyota dudes out on the dunes pretty much gives you an idea for how the weekend went!

Got the new CO EV license plates! These things are cool!

Also @DomOfTheDead gave me a set of springs to hopefully raise the front end up and keep my tires from bottoming into the fender liners. The front used to hang pretty low but now it's just about perfect. Now it rides over speedbumps at 35mph like nothing. Went from OME 2" mediums to OME 2" heavies.

I completely screwed that up haha. I have the WPL 80 series except I painted it blue. And then when I had my decals made I completely forgot to get 1/10th scale versions made to put on it! Overall big fail but I may be motivated to revisit and paint a new body.

Not all work days are so bad... today I spent the morning with @J1000 who gave me a full tour of his electric 80 series, as well as let me drive it all over the greater Idaho Springs area.. I must say driving that 80 is addicting.

So when you have a few minutes grab a or 2 and hang out with us for a while...

Do you have a feel for what you'd charge someone with an 80 series who wanted you to convert it and have it come back to them turn-key ready?

I have to believe you've got folks lined up around the block waiting to get conversions done!
