From what I can tell places that sell fishing licenses sell the permits. The confusion comes in to play because it's not a typical permit like a person with a dirtbike or something would get.. they need to run it as an out of state OHV permit.

Anyhow, I got mine at McGuckins after being told at the Ace Hardware in Nederland that they couldn't do it. I did call and talk to the person who does permits at McGuckins before going though and explained it to them. Look at the linked thread in the first post for details on how to figure out wehre to go.

I was able to get the permit from Dick's sporting goods at Flatiron Mall.

I'll also pick up a couple of bags of concrete for good measure.

I'll also be bringing a shovel, crescent wrench, come along and a few other nick nacks.

I have a few shovels, a chain saw, my cordless drill and some screws. I also grabbed my cement mixer adapter for my cordless drill. I assume we're just gonna get water from the creek? Anything else that needs to come up?

Won’t need the chain saw as we’re not allowed to use them on these work days. Yes water from the creek/lake for concrete
