Binge watched the first two episodes last night - great stuff. Not sure if I'll get to number 3 tonight (I will eventually), but the team does a great job of building up for episode three through the first two!!

Must be a bit frustrating to be intimately familiar with the advantages of diesel in remote areas like this, and to not be issued one by Toyota. :)
Knowing that mileage sucks so bad on lifted trucks, why not install a 2nd tank? Did Toyota not want you to install a second tank on any of these?

Looks like an awesome trip! I would love to do something like that, just not sure they sell DEET by the drum.

Nice work guys! How would you feel about lugging your 200 down the Mackenzie?

Looks like 'skeeter hell!

Finished up episode 3 last night. Personally, I thought Ep3 was the weakest of this series - the build up to the unknown status of the trail over Ep 1 & 2 was well done and then the team got to the lodge and cruised to the end. Kind of anticlimactic for me, though that's adventuring for you. I gathered that the team had a huge sense of relief though since the clear road facilitated mission completion.

A couple of really key moments for me in Ep3:
-The issues with the chain-saws was reassuring in the sense that even the pros make mistakes (i.e., forgetting the sharpener, getting the wrong chains, etc.). I've often beaten myself up over forgetting pieces of gear. It happens; just have to learn to be resilient, creative, and how to overcome.

-The decision making scene in which Clay is ready to call it and turn around and Kurt suggests the recon party; really cool moment there that had a significant impact on the entire trip.

Overall, very much enjoyed these 3 episodes and was glad to have something to watch and be inspired by over the last few days.
