I saw your post in a thread about tranny tools, LMK if you want to borrow them. after them being lent out for a few years i just got them back.
It sure does look that way. The post above that has the micrometer showing 25mm on the idler shaft was from the new kit. Just looks like the vendor I used for it didn't have all the information. I ordered part number TC7580 from cruiserteq.com today. It shows 1/75 - 7/80. Part TC7375 shows 9/73 - 4/75.@Nate So pre-75 t-cases had a 25mm idler shaft? Asking for reasons (kind of looking for a 40).
I have a few emails out to see if there is shop that can do the rebuild. If they seem hesitant, I will definitely want to borrow it. Thanks a million!I saw your post in a thread about tranny tools, LMK if you want to borrow them. after them being lent out for a few years i just got them back.
$915. Well worth it in my mind.If you don't mind me asking, how much did the powder coating of the chassis cost? It looks amazing.
I spent a lot of time on the phone with Johnny from Cursiers & Company up Erie. I'm gonna work with him on tranny. Thanks for getting back though.I saw your post in a thread about tranny tools, LMK if you want to borrow them. after them being lent out for a few years i just got them back.
That is exactly right, Wiseco custom-milled the domed pistons based on the measurements from Gunn and the piston I mailed to them. I did the short block assembly. Gunn did the valve assembly on the head.I was waiting on the domed pistons update because they’re unobtainable
So if I got this right
I gather you bought custom wiseco domed pistons?
Did Gunn assemble the short block for you or you did it?
paging @arthogOne last thing for tonight. It will be time for bodywork soon, and I am not comfortable taking on sheet metal welding. I flux core only wleder and I know it will put too much heat. I also don't have the tools to form parts. Any recommendations for a good body and paint shop?
I got the main bearings from sor.com
