I'm down like 4 flat tires!

Oh wait, probably the wrong analogy for this.

Hey Daniel, just an fyi, I won't be joining the group on the way to the museum but I will be with you guys on Saturday for the fest and "night at the museum" and I'll be following the convoy back to CO on Sunday. I'll be heading to Utah on Friday, staying with family and then I'll meet you guys at the museum on Saturday for a fun filled day full of Land Cruisers!

Daniel, should I bring the trailer or my RTT. It is an offroad trailer and I would really like to take it off road sometime, but also understand pacing of the group and trail dynamics

I may head back on my own Sunday AM so I can at least watch the 2nd half of the Bronco game from home :)

That fancy one or a Kimberly? Generally this is a trailer-friendly route. There is one possible bit that has a dry stream crossing that was a challenge two years ago but having seen what they do with those trailers in AUS, should be fine. PM me the model again. If you bring it we shall expect you to host the poker game. :thumb:

Am I the slowest vehicle? Stock 2F FJ60...I'm not planning on loading it down and bringing a bunch of heavy and unnecessary crap. But then again, I never plan to do that...

I'm thinking I should leave my winch behind.

If the winch is bolted on I would leave it. I don't think the 2F will matter in the backcountry

Just so others understand what camper I am talking about. It's an Aussie Karavan I imported. It's built for the bush of Australia.

Been wanting to get it out there. Since its made for the bush it should do fine and a friend in Tuscon takes his offroad all the time. Some shots to see the capability of my friends camper. I have the same model and will be pulling it with a Land Cruiser :D

I'll probably be right there with you. My 80 is a 92 with a 3FE, 35s, and stock gearing.

Unlikely to need a winch, and I just installed one this year, but there is that one part where we needed one last time. I attribute that to driver error.

I'm a semi-solid probably.

Updated

So it's Stuckinthe50sMPH then?

Another good reason that the rendevous is at camp the first night. Night one camp is 23 miles of dirt from this location: 40.619975, -108.369492

The cruiserfest site says we need to reserve a spot at the campground and its says "Reserving a campsite secures you an option to join one of the incoming trail rides." It's $35 for in vehicle camping or if you have an RTT and only 1 person at the KOA

Your description says we can camp in the adjacent lot. Just want to make sure what we are supposed to do

A night at the museum! In the adjacent lot, or inside the museum where the trucks come to life!

I'm still confused, is the adjacent lot where we'll be? I haven't registered for anything yet since it says "free" and I'm all about that.

I was talking to Dan Busey and they do have the adjacent lot available only Saturday. Since we are camping remotely Friday night it doesnt look like we need a camping reservation

I don't believe we need to register for the event either

So Dave, it's still free :)
