Hey all. I'm looking to get up to Argentine Pass this coming Friday (8/27).
Having been a while since my last visit (June 2020), be good to get up there and check things out.
Another reason for wanting to get up there is to check out a mine that's directly below Mt. Wilcox (and to the North). You can see this mine across the valley from the road to Argentine Pass. My plan was to take the road that branches off from the main Argentine Pass road till it ends near the power lines, then proceed on foot.
Coordinates for the mine: 39.621969, -105.758883 ( did take from Google Maps).
This has been a spot I've been wanting to check out for a looong time and part of my broader "Argentine Project" agenda.
Let me know if there's any interest.
A good view of Mt. Wilcox from the Vidler Tunnel. The old mine is at the base of the scree field just to the North of Wilcox.
