Well, work has messed me up this year. I originally had this weekend off, but our schedule got changed, and my leave request was denied. So I'll be missing this year. Have fun!

So,

Anyone going on this run up and willing to give a 4runner owner a ride? My truck is in the shop so I wont be able to join my dad in Chaco this weekend (majorly bummed!). I'd love to go on this run, but would need a ride to and fro, needy I know, but would love to make this!

Being extra needy: If your name is Matt, and you plan on making me walk a mile in the snow, then thanks, but no thanks.

:beer::beer:

Perry - I have an open seat. can you meet someplace in Golden or are you looking for door to door service:p:

Hey I want to put my thumb out for this as well!
Ideally I'd leave my 100 packed for the campout arund rollinsville or the start of Jenny for an easy pick up on the way down (without going back out to 72/93 before camping).

Any target near the trail head where folks are dropping trailers?
Anybody willing to put up with me ridding shotgun?

40's -> Camp -> Rally! Should be a good weekend!

Awesome Andy! Most obvious place to leave a truck or trailer is in Rollinsville somewhere. You could also drive with us up to Tolland & park there, or go all the way to the start of Rollins Pass, even go up to the East Portal parking lot. We'll figure it out tomorrow, we have lots of radios... glad to have you!

I'm out we had a bear trash our bee hives so we were trying to clean that up and won't make it in time.
Major bummer for both! Love the 40's only run!

Despite some issues I think good times were had by all. Good to see some familiar faces and to meet some new ones!

My first trip with the club and first time out on the trails. Even though there were a few bumps in the road........it was a great learning experience and awesome time. Looking forward for the next time out.

Bluebelle Blues

I had the blue 40 that had starting issues on the trail above the tunnel entrance.
Up until that time I had a great time seeing all the old rigs, meeting new folks and enjoying some beautiful scenery. I thought I had everything sorted on the ole girl prior to the 40's run, but it just wasn't her day.

I want to send a great big, "THANK YOU" to everyone who helped me try to get her going again, then turning her around so I could get out. Special THANKS to Barry & Mary in the Diesel 40 (who towed me all the way back to Rollinsville), and to Paul in the '67 40, who followed and then gave my wife and I and our 2 dogs a ride into Nederland, where we finally had cell service and were able to call AAA for a tow back to Evergreen. These folks sacrificed a good portion of their day to help us out and get us back to civilization......so... Thank You again. That is what I love about TLCA clubs.....the members are always so willing to help out a fellow member.

So, after a 3 hour wait in Nederland, the tow truck driver dropped us at our house at 7:00 pm. Not exactly how I had envisioned my first 40's Run, but thanks to Rising Sun folks, all ended well. Hopefully the next one I'll get to finish!
