D'oh, turns out this run conflicts with my cousin's 3rd birthday party... Hope to make another one soon!

OK, here's some pre-run intel:

As of 6-19-'13:

Here's the lower road sign.

The upper road sign.

This mattress is on the lower road, in a camp site.

Up at the top, by the first mine and the metal patrol shed, there are hundreds of shotgun shells.

And there are some other odd items that we'll probably want to haul out.

The upper road has two patches of ice, and the lower road has one. (Nothing we can't handle.)
No trees in the way.

Thank you for the intel Shotshell! I will bring new signs and posters, we will clean up that mattress and shot shells, and enjoy the trail! We need to determine whether that other stuff is historical garbage or not. If it's historical garbage we are directed to leave it.

How old does garbage have to be before it becomes historical?

Yes there is, as I'm sure you know, a lot of "historical Garbage". And of course, that gets left alone. But there is some plywood and what's left of a light duty metal door and what looks like an IKEA bed frame up by the patrol cabin. Looks like stuff people have brought up there to shoot at.

Count me in, for one. Also would be be better for me to bring my 4Runner or can you all use a F250 for hauling out garbage, and if so, would I have any problems on the road?

Doesn't look like there will be anything TOO big to haul out. I'd just role with the 4-Runner if I were you.

Party crashers are welcome, hopefully we'll have enough food for you :p:

Beachboy, the main Argentine Pass Road will not be a problem for you full size, though if we take the lower road then it's rocky and narrow. I'd just stick with the runner and we can utilize roof racks and tie down straps etc. if needed.

Anybody have a pneumatic angle grinder?

50 years.
Interesting, we should leave the pull tab Coors cans shot full of holes? Definitely any cans that used a church key would be historical.

You know the pull tab was invented 50 years ago in 1963. Iron City Beer from Pittsburgh, PA was the first one and within a year all the breweries were using them.

There's a whole pile of cans and lids that we drive by almost every year, and we leave it every time.

Anyone have a trailer we can borrow for some of the bigger stuff, unless we have some pickup trucks joining us??
