That was on Marketplace years ago, and then wound up back there. Been sitting for years.

I also drove those couple blocks yesterday looking for the stolen 62, as well as the blocks on the east side of N Wash.

While attending the Morgan Adams Foundation car events this weekend a visit to the Clive Cussler car collection museum was a high point. ‘30s and ‘40s collector cars aren’t exactly my wheelhouse but good taste is timeless and some of the cars were extremely tasteful. Of particular note, a Bentley Blower race car from 1930 put me in the mind of a Baja set up Lexus, both ready for terrain more suited to donkeys than F1 cars. Something that attracted my attention was the suspension’s cord wrapped leaf springs that appeared to have been done by a highly skilled artisan. The springs, similar to a 40 or 60 series Cruiser, but with what looked to be about 2” travel, were as luxuriously appointed as the rest of the car. Cool! That’s the supercharger and SU carbs sticking out the front.
