My friends - how about we run a trail, and do some good in the community while we're at it!? :)

I volunteer with a local non-profit organization called The Ralston House, which provides a safe place and support services for children who have been victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, or who have witnessed acts of violence. It's an amazing organization that does an immense amount of good for kids and families, and I'd like to lead a trail run to raise awareness, and maybe a few greenbacks in the process.

Here's how it'll work:

- We'll meet at the Pickle Gulch Trailhead (39.842831, -105.522758) at 12:30PM on Saturday, August 13th, 2022.
- Meetup time is 12:30PM, and we'll head up the trail at 1:00PM.
- After everyone is done airing down, I'll give a quick talk about the Ralston House, and how they serve kids in our communities (no more than five minutes, I promise).
- Then we'll wheel Pickle Gulch, Dakota Hill, and probably some of Utah Hill and Michigan Hill.
- These aren't super long trails, so I'd imagine we'll get through everything in 3-4 hours. Afterwards, I'll be heading back to Arvada to Luki Brewery for a few tasty, cold adult beverages - everyone is welcome to join!

Ideally, I'd like everyone who attends to make some sort of financial contribution to the Ralston House. No donation is too small - hell, I'll even take that $1 bill hiding under your passenger seat or some spare change. However, if you can't contribute, and you just walk away from this run knowing a bit more about the organization, that'll sit just fine with me.

As an added bonus, I will personally match all individual contributions up to $1,000 total.

Ideally, I'd like to make this an annual run (hence the "First Annual" designation...lol), supporting a different non-profit organization each year, so let's make this one a blast! Post up below if you want to join us!

Probably won't make this one, but I'm in support of the cause.

Don't forget to support our Rising Sun adopted trails as well:
  • Argentine Pass - June 24-26, 2022
  • Kingston Peak - July 17, 2022
  • Jenny Creek - September 6-7, 2022

Would any of the Ralston House staff be interested in riding along in our vehicles?
There are two staff that plan on joining, but they'll be riding in my sh*tbox 100. :)

I've already let the rest of the staff know that they've got a ride if they want to join!

This looks great! I'd love to come along. Count me and the pups in for tomorrow!
Can we just give you or the Ralston house staff a check tomorrow or are electronic donations prefered?

Electronic donations are preferred, but I’m more than happy to take a check tomorrow. Just make it out to “Ralston House”!

Thanks and see you tomorrow!
