It was a good day on Yankee hill in collaboration with Clear Creek ranger district OHV, Stay the Trail, CORE, and members of Rising Sun, Colorado 4x4 rescue and recovery, and Colorado 4x4 girls. There were other clubs invited that did not attend. Members of Rising Sun that attended included: @Yarn Cruiser , @MonPetiteShoe , @MountainGoat , @Mag71k5 ,@Wild-FJ , @Stephen Reavill , @arthog
sorry if I missed anyone
Each group set up a canopy and table as a meet and greet to the general public. Stay the Trail was nice enough to let us put up our banner out as a backdrop at their booth and put free RS stickers out.
Special thanks to @Curly for some last minute banner transfer coordination!
There was multiple work tasks as it was encouraged to intermingle and split into smaller workgroups. Tasks included: new trash cans set, new carsonites along the trail, picking up at the shooting area, and with trash removal and drainage mitigation at the columbine parking lot. Josh Ball and I stayed behind to watch the booth, pick up trash and dig tiny ditches as most of the group went up the trail after introductions and safety sign offs.
From a day at the columbine parking lot perspective, by 10:30am, the parking lot was completely full with a vast majority of truck and trailer set up unloading SxSs. Parking was in an organized fashion, only due to efforts from a few people from CO4X4R&R that stayed behind to manage this task. Those that ran the trail reported a good day and most everyone had packed out by 3pm.
