I’m running 4oz of beads from Counteract on my 80. I decided to try a minimal amount to help with the already balanced BFG KO2 295/75-16.
I was getting some feedback through the steering wheel at highway speeds. Seemed to me like the tires were less than perfectly balanced and steering wheel shake (it was very minor but I’m a little OCD) would come and go based on turns in the road.
I put the 4oz of beads in and the steering wheel shake was reduced by about 50%. So not very noticeable but still there.
I wanted to bring this up again because it was mentioned that once the balance beads are installed, the tires cannot be traditionally balanced. Is this because the balance beads mask the imbalance of the tire when on the balancing machine?
