Taylor is what was open. We may change that so we can split the days up. I'm aware that a lot of people don't make their reservations after doing the maze and talking with the park ranger. I figure we may be able to get a different camping spot so the drive isn't as long.
I thought Taylor was a pretty cool camp site. At this point probably my favorite on the Green River side. You could potentially hike all the way to Upheaval Dome from camp if you want.

Hardscrabble B has fairly easy river access but it doesn't have a ton of shade for vehicles (you could shelter a tent, though). So you need to jump into the river during summer and will have a lot of mosquitos. If you can't get White Crack or Murphy (both of these are very cool camps) I'd personally stick with Taylor over Candlestick or Labyrinth.

Potato Bottom might work. Camping there is more off the road and scenic but you're above the river not on it. You could hike to Queen Anne Bottom for river access, but that's a couple of miles from Potato Bottom camp.

If you stop at White Crack or Murphy then the next day is pretty long to get to Mineral Bottom and the trip from Airport is fairly short. We left White Crack at 8:20 and were at Airport by 11AM. But getting from Hardscrabble to White Crack was right at 7 hours and Taylor is probably 45 minutes to an hour further, so I totally understand adjusting camps.

So it all does depend on what you intend to do or hike. Getting from Airport to Taylor won't be so long you can't stop at Black Crack and Holeman slot. You just shouldn't plan on a half day hike is all. Get to Airport and hike, drive the middle day and hike the 3rd day after leaving Taylor.
