For my 80, I have had new keys cut at the dealership using the VIN number. I bring in my registration and have a brand new key cut in minutes. Works better in the ignition.

I think the dealer here asked to see an insurance card or registration, I forget. Something with the VIN and address that matched my driver license. Jerry just made them since he knew me personally. Check my post, I got three keys for my 40 door off eBay using the code off my key. Brought the blanks in and they were perfectSo I managed to finally track down a key blank for my 40 and also ordered some blanks for the 62. Local ace hardware is stumped when the computer doesn't know what to do, would an automotive locksmith be the next step? Who have you all used for old keys? Thanks all and happy freaking Friday...

This is the place to go! I brought in some key blanks OEM… They were able to cut them and they have a wall of keys behind them bold and unique… Wish I needed more keys made, so easy
