One of our locksmiths lives in Wheat Ridge and our van's windshield was broken from the hail and we're sure there is other extensive damage too. I have been in Idaho so I have not seen it yet.
I'm real bummed for all of you, I wish there was some way to erase it all. I have no idea what i'd do if I were in that situation. I guess there really is nothing you can do.
As some of you know, I work for the city of Wheat Ridge as a mechanic (there is only two of us). My main responsibility is keeping the police fleet up and going. After the storm, we only have 8 police vehicles that were operable and most of them had busted windshields.
my rental house that I listed for sale and went under contract on Monday mid-day before the hail storm. Off I-70 & Zuni. Prospective buyer still wants it...I would too since it is getting a new roof, siding, screens and shutters. Mental note...spend the extra and get wood shutters.
I go in today to have the Tacoma estimated.
Just heard one company car is being totalled, a couple are in the 7k range of damage. Both buildings on our property have to be reroofed(both less than 5yrs old)
Cruiser was in the garage and I think the most costly damage is this Audi front bumper. Not going to be easy to replace. However, I have not been on my roof yet. Hopeful since it's only five years old
