Treeroot found this one. I thought I would share it.

sweet.

What's odd it I was just thinking last night I needed a forge. Working metal in a forge is one of the most fun rewarding things I have ever done. ever. I really miss it.

the wood part is neat too.

x2 - very cool. I have questions though. What was that green stuff he applied when grinding? And when he pulled the axe head from the oven and put it in a bucket, it caught on fire - what was that?

The guy at about 4 mins in looks more like someone heading to a meeting than going 4-wheeling - loving the shoes :hill:

It amazes me that the guys running at that level as so casual when it comes to their own personal safety. :(

No kidding. I mean at least use some arm restraints and wear a helmet.

It'd be easy to cut an arm off. Hell, just imagine getting a rock in yer eye.

That and fire is no frickin' joke. You don't have to catch fire to get a little sizzle in your shizzle.

Sooooo....you think you have a nice shop and an expensive hobby? Dennis Anderson became a legend in his monster truck named Grave Digger....but his mud truck set a standard that's tough to follow! The technology he uses is what Timmy Cameron and a few others are using to make their Rock Bouncers survive....

What technology? that video showed more paint & body work than anything... I guess I was hoping for more CAD/FEA stuff on the cage, etc. :o

And I got sucked into the Tim Cameron videos for a bit last night, thanks a lot Subzali!

You don't think harnessing 2000 hp while jumping 20" in the air or rolling and or crashing at full throttle in a relatively light weight beast like that is amazing technology? The link was for the chrome paint process which isnt my thing but pretty amazing in itself!

It's awesome technology. I was just hoping to learn more about it, that's all... not just footage of it already done. Like how do they determine all the triangulation of the cage, how to they displace the load from landing those big jumps, what kind of weight considerations are there... guess I just had a more geeky expectation that's all. :blah:
