tubing out my front fenders on the 40

from 90" stock WB (i think) to 104" WB, i needed to do something with the front fenders.
here's the start and the fenders are all welded up and ready to mount up.
finished pics are not shown.
rear 1/4s are next :thumb:

Are you planning on skinning them? That would look really slick if you could hide the engine compartment stuff.

i'm going to try to use my stock fenders to skin the tops.
possably line the inner with expanded metal and use some sheet here and there to mount what needs to be mounted.
possably use some heavy rubber to keep road dirt out.

who knows, i'm just wing'n it :thumb:

had some time off today, so while i was cutting steel i played with one side.
not sure if i'm going to use the stock fenders to skin these (see pic of a perfectly good 40 fender that i cut today) :D
or just skin them with some sheet.
i do have some aluminum sheet i could use for this :thumb: keep it a bit lighter.....like it matters ;)
