I would be remiss not to mention that telescopic forks leave a lot to be desired and AMP knew that back in the day.
The problem is old tech (I mean they *still* run telescopic forks on MotoGP after all) is also simple and relatively inexpensive, which ultimately doomed AMP's effort's too. It was hard then to convince people multilink forks were 3 times better to justify the price.
Goodness, though, I wish I'd have bought an AMP fork when I had the chance.

Haven't seen that one, reminds me of the Lauf but looks like it offers some notable benefits.
Bruce had an Amp fork.. probably still does!

Yep still have the fork, and the bike attached to it. It spends all its time hanging in the shed, I don't want to break it, its all aluminum and getting old.
I also have an earlier F2 fork on the bike I keep at work. Both forks have had the bushings replaced, likely more than once.
Keeping the damper from leaking its 1 oz of oil is a challenge as the parts are worn.
Hey, this weekend is Veloswap. Lots of fun, great place to look for a used bike or anything bike related.
