Great trail for a 40 or mini truck (ya....I said it ). Armor critical and lockers highly recommended! My daughter drove the whole main trail which was awesome for me to watch my rig work! I took the reigns on the "extreme" rated side trail "Trough Your Rocker" And I managed to find a couple line's that posed a little bit of challenge for WR but overall still doable for a milder shorter wheel base rig. The last off shoot that is supposed to be "moderate" actually was the nastiest challenge of the day. The entry rocks were majorly washed out and because of the steepness I got denied early on. We were running solo so I called "no glory" rather than working any harder. I could have easily found a line but I choose to save it for another day when other rigs were with me. The trail is worth the trip but from here it takes about the same time to get there as it would to go to Holy Cross. The entire trail, along with off shoot and lunch took us 4 hours hitting every tough line we could find. I would plan a long day if I was in a moderately built rig. :):bowdown::zilla:

Parking area......trail is directly behind us in the gulch

I've never heard of Trough Trail, which isn't saying much, but its looks interesting. Based on what you said UB I'm guessing this is not a wagon friendly trail.

The off shoots I would say probably no but the main trail would be doable and a majority of obstacles are in wide enough spots that you could call no glory and go around. If you planned a day trip you could get all learned and stuff at State Bridge on some early Colorado history, then go warm up your shocks on the trail then continue South on Trough Road to Kremmling and be wowed by the Gore Range....or go back through State Bridge and head North on 131 to Steamboat Springs.

Looks like a really fun time Kevin, That's cool that your daughter went and drove a bunch of it. I bet she was stoked! By the looks of the parking lot you guys had it all to yourselves.

Hmmmmm....Not sure how to answer that.....Chitrolet is still as much of a PITA to park as it always has been so I don't think it's getting smaller......Wild Rice is definatly bigger but lighter than most others so I guess we will blame it on steroids.....ya that's it.... steroids :lmao:

It's been quite a while since Kelsey has wheeled with me. We did have a blast and her driving skills are still very good. Throttle reponse caught her off guard a couple times but after the look of terror her smile got bigger than ever! :lmao: The trail is hardly known and there are very few tracks on it. The tougher sections had no identifiable tracks at all although there are fresh IROK tracks all over now! :D
