We had a nice run with the weather better than expected. I expected mud and snow, but the trail was barely damp. Not too much wind either - which was another nice surprise.

Alex did a great job leading his first run, partially thanks to his excellent navigator no doubt.

We had one Tacoma @MarkEva, one 4Runner @Roborado, one 60 Series @Capriblue45, and two 80 Series @Curly and myself @MountainGoat.

All the rerouting work we did in July was pretty much for naught as knuckleheads have been driving off the trail in the exact spot we have been working on :(. I think Alex got lots of pics of the situation which we can get to the USFS and work out a plan.

I got one crappy picture before we even got to the trailhead and that was it :homer:.

Maybe an admin can move @Roborado 's great pics over to this thread from the staging thread. :)

What a great day to be in the mountains!

Thanks everyone for making my first trail lead so easy. I highly suggest to anyone considering trail leading to take Dan, Mike, Mark and Rob with them. Each of their pinkies has more experience out there than me and my navigator combined

All in all a great ride with great folks, as usual.

I do have a few pics of tracks off the trail in the flats area, but I won't post them all here. Happy to share them where needed.

The mailbox provided and opportunity to cover tom brady's face with a sticker of my rig - total win of a day.

Thanks again Alex for stepping up and leading this trail yesterday. It was my first time up Kingston peak and the views did not disappoint. As a bonus I got to get a few pictures of these 3 a few miles south of Rollinsville on the way to the meeting place.

Looks like a good run. I would have tossed every one of those painted rocks on the summit. Im downright millitant about that. They drive me crazy. Almost as much as useless cairns.

I agree, it was a great run, but it wasn't because of the navigator. It was all the trail leader @Curly and you all. 😀Thanks for a great day! Colorado never disappoints.
