1981 Toyota pickup

This is my buddies pickup. He is asking $1500. It had a brand new engine and a knuckle rebuild about 8 years ago. Only 13,000 miles on the new engine and knuckle rebuild. Then my friend needed a bigger truck, moved out of his parents house and the truck was driven very little over that time. Now he is moving so he wants to sell it. Its in pretty good shape and I'll post some pics soon. He got it running but it probably needs a little fine tuning. Its white. He would probably take low ball offers but it really is a nice truck for the age so be nice.

Neither of us know the true value of these trucks so if the price is way off please let me know.

Wes, does that seem like a fair price? What's involved getting it legal here in the states?

It's a little high IMHO. I'd think a stock rig is is more like 9k US but they are still rare so it may be inline and it's very clean for a Canadian rig. Probably more so than mine. It's pretty easy to bring over. about $2-400 at a RI in vancouver and your all set. Personally I like the 85. It was the only 12v 70 sold in canada out of the 3 years. The 86 and 87 are 24v. It makes things like radio's, bulbs, starters much less complicated.

C'Mon! Somebody else in the club needs a 40! With everyone switching to Pink Panty mobiles, I'm starting to think I'm going to be the only 40 driver soon.

We had a lot of 40s on the Blow Off Work and Go Wheelin' run yesterday. Where were you?

Many of us pinkpantymobilers own a 40, too. One Land Cruiser is never enough.
