Hmmm... I'm always looking through CL and I don't recall this one. Looks like a good rig for under a grand. Anyone know it's history?

A friend on mine bought it up in the mountains somewhere and had it in his cabin garage for about a year. He towed it to boulder last summer and started working on it but ended up purchasing a running 1974 FJ40. Now he has too many projects. I think he would like to keep it as a future project but we all know the reality of that situation.

Seriously, a white '97 FZJ80 with 88,500 miles. Price is kind of high at $17.5

And you know it needs a few grand of maintenance right out of the box because it's low miles and wasn't ever performed. Prices are coming way down - a 2003 100 with 44K miles sold on ebay yesterday for under $25K, and that thing was mint and loaded. I'm not sure any stock 80 is worth over $10K with the gas price hit unless it has a HG PM and all the other 90K service completed.

Of course, a SC would be mint now that they've been discontinued...

Case Of 10 Genuine Toyota Oem Oil Filters

Not the JDM ones that you can get from CDan but just the regular Toyota OEM filters for various Toyotas.

Saw it on eBay and it seems like a good deal (at least compared to the cost of JDM filters)...Was thinking about trying to put together a group buy but I've got 6 JDM filters left which should last me a couple years ...

Anyway, thought I would post this up for all you 80 owners in case you use these and in case it really is a good deal...$27.50 + $9.45 shipping = $36.95 total so ~$3.70 ea

They might be the small ones. Hard to tell. I got the JDM ones from Cdan. It was a little pricey, but .... :D

Save your money.. you can pick up those YZZ filters any time you want from Stevenson for ~$4. They're the same size as the 20004's, but not the same filter.

Thanks for the info Tim! I've grown wary of the "good deals" on fleebay :hill:

I went ahead and got a case for my wife's '85 truck. Cdan said they were "below cost". At $3.70 each it's saving a little. I was buying Fram fliters at around the same price, so this is an improvement. :grinpimp:

No worries...

Hey does it seem like these minitrucks are just showing up like crazy lately? Think of the money you'd drop into an 80 to make it as capable as this one.. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/338211071.html

edit: then again, that's the same price as Action Jackson's now, right? never mind, get the 80.
